One Single Impression: Bleeding

Sun and birdsong bleed
Through thin dreams in grey dawn sleep
Dew-drenched, I arise.

I love the way the sun and birdsong beckon me to greet a brand new day! Such a lovely way to awaken each day!

"grey dawn sleep" is what grabs my mind here because that sleep is often grey and cold inside and out. But birdsong turns it to light and hope. This speaks to me in many ways, Sandy.

How beautiful! I ended up drenched in gloom and anger doing this week's theme and here you have made it beautiful and inspiring.

This IS inspiring. What a beautiful response to the prompt - the scene you create with so few words is bliss.

Sandy,

I'm sorry - I thought I had gotten to everyone, but it seems somehow I skipped you. So glad I found out! I've enjoyed this "dream twilight" as well - it is lovely.

I tried so hard to shift my focus from the literal for this week's prompt and couldn't. I love what you (and others) have shared as your responses ... blurring edges of consciousness! Beautiful Haiku!
Hugs and blessings,
