One Deep Breath: Frost

Cold and still enough
For silence to settle all:
Frost bites your tongue, mine.

One Deep Breath

Intriguing haiku! Nice play on "bite your tongue..." Me, too, I sure am not going to miss winters once I've moved to southern California.

Does't the silence make the sense of frost even colder ?
Happy new year.

I'm sitting here so cold and shivering and now I'm worried I'll bite "my" tongue. LOL

sandy, thanks so much for helping me find this lovely haiku. It is so hard for me to say what I want in "Just One Breath" but I am learning. You have a wonderful site. Right now mine is upside down and I can't figure out how to fix it.. That's why I'm still on Blogger.com. I a blogging dummy. Can't start up a wordpress or any thing else. Just don't have what it takes.
Anyway, your haiku and photo were striking.
